Courtesy Obituary Mortan Gibson, 80, of Lincoln County, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born Thursday, May 22, 1941 in Leslie County, Kentucky. He was a son of the late Merida & Zilpha Collins Gibson. He was a tool department manager for Ace Hardware in Richmond and a member of Community Worship Church of God, in Crab Orchard. Mortan enjoyed fishing, hunting & gardening. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Bethelene Gibson, brothers, Tilford Gibson & Virgil Gibson. Survivors include his wife, Deby Baker Gibson, of Lincoln County, son, Dan (Angela) Gibson, of Lincoln County, step-daughter, DaNica Smallwood, of Berea, brothers, Lloyd Gibson, of Fairfield, Ohio, Everett Gibson, Willard Gibson, Therman Gibson, all of Size Rock, Kentucky, sister, Thelma Cornett, of Blanchester, Ohio, grandchildren, Kayla (Zach) Lunsford, Brandon (Brooklynn) Gibson, great-grandchild, River Cade Gibson. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, May 23, 2022 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Warren officiating and burial following at Baker-Gibson Family Cemetery. Pallbearers are his nephews. Honorary pallbearers include, Lloyd Gibson, Everett Gibson, Willard Gibson, Therman Gibson & Kenny Couch. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 PM Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home. Friends & family may share memories or leave condolences on his tribute wall at: www.ramsey-young.com.
