The obituary of Mr. Randolph "Randy" Douglas Moore
Mr. Randolph "Randy" Douglas Moore departed this life on Monday, Dec. 6, 2021 at the Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY at the age of 72 years old. He was born on April 13, 1949 in Morehead, KY the son of the late Eddie J. Moore and the late Cloma Porter Moore. Randy was former owner of Moore Lumber Company and had served as State Representative for the 90th District of KY for two terms, 1982-84 & 1984-86. Randy was a member of the Hurts Creek Church of Christ and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. Randy was a licensed airplane pilot, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, but he especially enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: one infant sister, Charlene and other sister, Venita Carol Moore. Randy leaves surviving the following relatives: two cherished sons: Patrick Moore of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Joshua Moore (Mary Ann) of Hyden, KY two loving daughters: Michelle Moore of Macon, GA, Jennifer Asher (Donnie) of Hyden, KY one brother: Dale Moore (Nancy ) of Hyden, KY. Randy is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren with one on the way, and a host of other treasured relatives and friends. The Moore family would like to express their sincere & heartfelt appreciation for the professional and compassionate care to the Hyden Health & Rehab Center & the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care for which they provided to Randy. VISITATION: 6:00 p.m. - Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021 until funeral hour at the funeral home chapel
OFFICIATING MINISTER: Keith Bowling
PLACE OF INTERMENT: Moore Family Cemetery at Morehead, KY with a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10 2021
PALLBEARERS: Joshua Moore, Donnie Asher, Isaiah Moore, Nick Morgan and Jordan Morgan.
