THE OBITUARY OF RENA SYBIL LAYMON
Mrs. Rena Sybil Laymon of East Bernstadt, Ky., formerly of Leslie Co., born April 02, 1933 departed this life on Thursday, October 07, 2021 at the St. Joseph London, London, Ky. She was 88 years old. Sybil was born at Big Branch, Wooton, Ky., the daughter of the late Manuel Vanover & Mae Johnson Vanover. Sybil was employed as a nurse's aid and was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a former resident of Leslie County and had been living in Laurel County for the past 35 years. Sybil enjoyed painting & flower gardening; however her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. Rena Sybil Laymon was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Jack Laymon; the father of her children, J.B. Minix, her parents, a cherished son, Rodney J. Minix; son-in-law, Lonnie Miniard; brothers, Bobby Vanover, Wilburn Vanover, & sister, Luvenia Melton & husband, Henry. Mrs. Rena Sybil Laymon leaves the following relatives surviving: two beloved sons, Victor Minix and Connie of Louisa, Ky.; Don Robin Minix of East Bernstadt, Ky.; two beloved daughters, Connie Lee Miniard of Louisville, Ky.; Lisa McBride and Mike of Indiana; one sister, Della Sue Harmon and Dan of Ohio; five treasured grandchildren, Trevor Minix & Remonica; Candace Muncy & Donnie; Kim Miniard and James Adams; Shannon Miniard & Sheila; Cole Etzinger; 10 treasured great grandchildren & a host of other relatives and friends.
