Ricky was born July 30, 1964, passed away June 6, 2024. Ricky is preceded in death by his father, Daniel Fields; his mother, Frances "Jackie" Langdon Fields; his brother, Denver Lee Fields; his maternal grandparents, Brown and Lola Morris Langdon; and his paternal grandparents, Anderson "Ance" and Edith Begley Fields. He is survived by his sister, Brenda K. Fields-Baker(Jon); his brother, Dewey P. Fields (wife Faith); his nieces, Amanda C. Fields and Heather D. Fields (Jeremy); his nephews, Frank A. Baker (Kara), Dalton E. Baker, and Daniel W. Fields; his great-nieces, Amylah D. Taylor and Ava K. Fields; and a host of other family members and friends.

Ricky was known for his fun-loving and free-spirited nature. He had a passion for travel and was fortunate enough to visit many beautiful places, including Venice, Italy; Paris, France; Austria; and the Philippines, where he traveled with his life partner of 13 years, Russell, a native of the Philippines. Ricky cherished his friends and family, and his presence always brought joy to gatherings. He and his loved ones often spent hours talking on the phone, and he had plans to return home this year to celebrate his 60th birthday. In 1988, Ricky enlisted in the Army, where he completed basic training in Oklahoma before being stationed at Fort Stewart, Georgia, and later in Germany. He proudly served as a combat veteran during Desert Storm. After his military service, Ricky lived in Colorado for a short time before moving to Germany, where he made his home.

Burial for Ricky was Friday, August 23, 2024 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery South East in Hyden, Kentucky. With military rites performed by the Leslie Co. DAV Chapter #133.
