Mr. Roderick Dale "Rod" Feltner born July 16, 1952 departed this life on Nov. 13, 2020 at his residence. He was born at Hyden, KY the son of the late Pearl Feltner and the late Mae Pennington Feltner. He was 68 years old. Rod was a retired coal miner having worked at Whitaker and Shamrock Coal Companies for 30 years & he also was employed by the Leslie County Board of Education. Rod was an avid runner, weight lifter and devout U.K. Athletics fan, enjoyed watching westerns, however his greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren. Rod was a member of the Stinnett Church of Christ and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son, brother: J.P. Feltner; sisters: Patti McNew and Fannie Overeem. He leaves surviving the following relatives: his loving and devoted wife: Diana Roberts Feltner of Hyden, KY, beloved son: Rodney Feltner of Hyden, KY, two beloved daughters: Chrissy Maggard & Danny of Hyden, KY, Rochelle Lewis & Jerry of London KY, two brothers: William Feltner & Marlene of Wendover, KY, Roy Feltner (His twin brother) & Frances of London, KY, three sisters: Vernia McRelroy of Los Angeles, CA, Shirley Lazaron & Mike of Battle Creek, MI and Kathy Bowling & Keith of Essie, KY., three treasured grandchildren: Dylan Maggard, Dalton Maggard and Tyler Wells.
