Mr. Stevenson Coots born August 30, 1969 departed this life on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center. He was 52 years old. Stevenson was born at Hyden, Ky., the son of the late Burvel Coots and Virginia Collins Coots. Stevenson was a self-employed handyman, who was very well respected for his work in his community. He was affiliated with the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, Yeaddiss, Ky & was a life-long resident of Leslie Co. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, 4 wheeler riding, hunting elk horns, arrowheads and Indian artifacts. Stevenson greatest joy came from spending time with his parents, brothers & sisters. Mr. Stevenson Coots was preceded in death by his loving and devoted parents and brother, Melvin Coots. Mr. Stevenson Coots leaves the following relatives surviving: two beloved brothers; Roger Coots and Ollie of Yeaddiss, Ky., Rick Coots and Tina of Yeaddiss, Ky., four cherished sisters; Rita Ann Coots of Yeaddiss, Ky., Corene Trent & Earl of Yeaddiss, Ky., Lois Coots of Yeaddiss, Ky., Darlene Lankford and Albert of Yeaddiss, Ky., a host of treasured nieces and nephews and a special great niece, Kaitlyn Coots.
