Sylvia Rose Dehart

Sylvia Rose Dehart born May 2, 1931 departed this life on Monday, March 14, 2022 at the Mary Breckinridge-ARH Hospital, Hyden, KY. She was 90 years of age.  Sylvia was born at Hyden, Ky., the daughter of the late Sam Skeens & Maggie Baker Skeens.  Sylvia was a homemaker and member of the Camp Creek Church of Christ, Wendover, Ky.  She enjoyed listening to music, flower gardening & cleaning.  Sylvia's greatest joy was spending time with her family.  She was a life-long resident of Leslie County.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, her loving and devoted husband, Ellis Dehart, one son, James Dehart and by a number of brothers and sisters.  Mrs. Sylvia Rose Dehart leaves the following relatives surviving: one beloved son, Wade Dehart of Wooton, Ky., two beloved daughters, Charlotte Charles and Rick of North Carolina, Carla Hoskins and Russell of Wooton, Ky., one sister, Ann Adams of Hyden, Ky., five treasured grandchildren, Amy Hoskins, Russell Hoskins, Tia Martin, Tommy Martin & Mandi, Gary Dehart and Trish, three treasured great, grandchildren, Shayla Coots, Savannah Teal, Gavin Savering & a host of other relatives and friends. 

Funeral: Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Minister: Hobie Hayes

Pallbearers: Gary Dehart, Tommy Martin, Dylan Caldwell, Kenny Adams, Steve Adams & Corey Whitaker

Interment: Skeens Cemetery, Wooton, KY

Visitation: Friday, March 18, 2022 at 6:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home Chapel
