The obituary of Mr. Thomas Vanderpool
Mr. Thomas Vanderpool born August 1. 1948 departed this life on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center, Hazard, Ky. He 72 years old. Thomas was born in Hazard, Ky., the son of the late Marion Vanderpool and Evelyn Bowling. Thomas was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served honorably in the U.S. Army. He had a very distinguished work career. Thomas retired as a heavy equipment repairman for Arch on the North Fork mine & he also retired from Toyota Manufacturing of Ky., in Georgetown, Ky., having worked in robotics. Thomas was a member of the Frankfort Baptist Church, Corbin, Ky. He was an avid reader, fisherman & his greatest joy came from spending time with his family. Thomas was residing at Corbin, Ky., at the time of his death.
Mr. Thomas Vanderpool was preceded in death by his parents, one beloved son; Matthew Daniel Vanderpool & one precious granddaughter, Katelynn Marie Vanderpool. Mr. Thomas Vanderpool leaves the following relatives surviving: his loving and devoted wife; Brenda Vanderpool of Corbin, Ky., beloved sons; Justin Wayne Vanderpool and wife, Mary of Stamping Ground, Ky., John Wynn and wife, Tosha of Corbin, Ky., cherished daughters; Jeannie Woody & husband, Ed, of Columbia, South Carolina, Valerie Spencer and husband, Shannon of Georgetown, Ky., one brother; Glenn Vanderpool of Hazard, Ky., ten treasured grandchildren; Matthew Vanderpool, Thomas Tudor, Olivia Tudor, Jenna Woody, Ava Woody, Justin Thomas Vanderpool, David Spencer, Evan Spencer, Emily Spencer, Olivia Spencer and a host of other relatives and friends. * THE FAMILY REQUESTS IN LIEU OF FLOWERS DONATIONS MAY BE MADE TO: SEWING SEEDS OF KINDNESS, 64 SPEED DRIVE, CORBIN, KY. 40701.
