Tommy Ray Wells, Sr.

Mr. Tommy Ray Wells, Sr. passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center.  He was 66 years old. Tommy was born at Hazard, KY on Nov. 20, 1954 the son of the late Curt Wells and the late Mary Williams Wells.  He was a member of the Church of Christ and a member of the Hyden Masonic Lodge #664. Mr. Tommy Ray Wells, Sr. had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, KY.  Tommy enjoyed reading his bible, fishing, hunting, playing corn hole, but most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family.  Mr. Tommy Ray Wells, Sr. was a retired coal miner having worked at Blue Diamond Coal Co.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one step-son, Steven Wells.  Tommy leaves surviving the following relatives his loving and devoted wife of 30 years, Sandra Stidham Wells of Wooton, KY, two loving sons: Tommy Wells & Tabatha of Vicco, KY, John Wells & Rachael of Tazewell, TN, two loving daughters, Sherry Wells  of London, KY, Rita Boles and James of Sweetwater, TN, one Step-Daughter Mary Baker & Delano of Hyden, KY, two sisters, Ann Hanlon & Dale of Hazard, KY, Zita Caldwell & Hurlis of Bledsoe, KY. nine grandchildren, Mark Crawford, John Wells, Jr. Cody Wells, Hailey Boles, Emily Boles, Isabella Widner, Jeremiah Widner, Rhonda Renee Eversole, Melissa Ann Harris, three great grandchildren. Dakota Eversole, Colton Eversole and Aiden Wohlford Presley.  Tommy is also survived by a host of other treasured relatives and friends. FUNERAL SERVICES: 2:00 P.M. - Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home in Hyden, KY.

MASONIC SERVICE WILL BE OBSERVED BY THE HYDEN MASONIC  LODGE # 664

VISITATION: 1:00 p.m. - Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021 at the funeral home chapel.
