Troy Howard

Troy Howard passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center. He was 78 years old. Troy was born November 8, 1942 in Leslie Co., KY., the son of the late, Alvin Howard & Laura Mosley Howard. He had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co. Troy was a veteran of the U.S. Army. By occupation he was retired from LKLP Community Action Council in Leslie Co. Troy was affliated with the Lower BeechFork United Methodist Church at Mozelle, KY. He enjoyed fishing, wood-working, reading, classical music & was an avid lottery player. He loved spending time with his family.

Troy was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Marvin & Russell Howard, 3 sisters-in-law, Mary Nell Howard, Carolyn Howard & Sandra Howard, great nephew, Tanner Simpson & great niece, Grace Simpson. He leaves the following relatives surviving; 1 beloved daughter & her husband, Crystal & Chris Miller of Bakersville, CA., 2 treasured grandchildren, Jacob Miller of CA. & Emily Miller and Brendan Fish of Huntington, WV., a host of treasured great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, Jimmy Howard, Eugene Howard & Paul Howard all of Mozelle, KY., 3 sisters, Peggy Asher & Ray, Pauline Howard & Joyce Strunk & Ronnie all of Mozelle, KY. & sister-in-law, Carol Ann Howard of Mozelle, KY. Also a host of special nieces & nephews, other relatives & friends survive. 

In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center Trust Fund to benefit disadvantaged veterans.  Checks can be made out to “EKVC Trust Fund” and mailed to: Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center 200 Veterans Drive, Hazard, KY 41701 (Please write “In Memory of Troy Howard” in the memo of the check”)

All services are private due to Governor Beshear's mandate.
