Mr. Vernon Napier born January 27, 1941 departed this life at his residence Thursday, February 24, 2022. He was 81 years old. Vernon was born at Bowens Creek in Leslie Co., the son of the late George Napier & Essie Osborne Napier. Vernon was a former resident of Leslie Co., and had been a resident of London, Ky., since 1979. He was a former carpenter and custodian for the 1st Baptist Church of London, Ky. Vernon was a member of the Soul's Harbor Church London, Ky., and the Stinnett Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed playing base guitar with various gospel groups, hunting & fishing. Vernon's greatest pleasure came from spending time with his family. Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, his loving and devoted wife, Beulah Hoskins Napier and one brother, John Henry Napier. Mr. Vernon Napier leaves the following relatives surviving: one beloved son, Jeff Napier & Tracy of London, Ky., one cherished daughter, Deborah Napier Parks & Mark of London, Ky., two treasured grandchildren, Devan Brock, Aaron Micah & Victoria, two sisters, Georgia Lee Fisher & Chuck of Ohio and Mahala Writt and Richard of Texas, sister-in-law, Martha Napier of Ohio, a number of half brothers and sisters & step brothers and sisters, and a host of other treasured relatives and friends.
