Mr. Warner Callahan of Yeaddiss, KY. born January 25, 1942 departed this life on Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center at the age of 77. He was born in Leslie County the son of the late Arnold Callahan and the late Nancy Joseph Callahan. Warner was a member of the Baker Fork Church of Christ and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, KY. Warner was a retired coal miner having been employed by Blue Diamond Coal Co. for 20 years and Whitaker Coal Company for 14 years. He enjoyed hunting, watching wrestling, and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving and devoted wife, Martha Adams Callahan, two daughters: Linda Gail and Shirley, brothers Clemmie, Monroe, and James Ford Callahan one sister: Marilyn Griffith. Mr. Warner Callahan leaves the following surviving: two beloved sons: Raymond Callahan & Teresa of Wooton, Ky.,,Johnny Wayne Callahan of Yeaddiss, KY., two brothers; Beve Callahan & Elva of Yeaddiss, Ky., Kelly Callahan of Wooton, Ky., three sisters; Wilma Pennington & James A. of Burning Springs, Ky., Phyllis Richardson of Whitesburg, Ky., Christine Kilburn of Wooton, Ky., three treasured grandchildren; Mike Callahan & Amy, Chris Callahan & Lora, Stacy Callahan & a host of other relatives and friends.
