Willa M. Hood, 87, of Fairmont, WV passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at her residence. She was born on January 12, 1934, a daughter of the late Haze and Florence Mills.

Willa is survived by her son, William Lee Parks and his ex-wife Gina Asher; a brother, Bobby Mills and his children Laura Lee and Becky; a sister, Beverly Emery and her husband Terry and their children Jimmy, Daphne, Joshua, Peter, Rebekah, Stephen, and Sarah; and her step-granddaughter, Michelle.

In addition to her parents, Willa was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Richard Parks and her second husband, Reverend Leonard Hood.
Willa was a minister’s wife for almost 60 years but she was also so much more. She worked as a public librarian and was a gifted artist who enjoyed reading and bird-watching. Willa was a creative and intelligent person and was very active in her life. She enjoyed walking and was an active, well-respected member of First Presbyterian Church in Fairmont.

The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554, on Friday, October 1, 2021, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 11 a.m. with Reverend Evan Walker officiating.
