William Henry Gross

William Henry Gross was born February 27, 1928 in Harlan County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Elihu Gross and Elizabeth Howard Gross. He was united in marriage to Amanda Jane Roberts Gross who preceded him in death. He is survived by his five children,

Anita Morgan, Naomi Snyder (Edward Lee) all of London, Kentucky, Charlotte Collins (Otis), Reba Stapleton (John Webb) all of Kingsport, Tennessee, Kevin Gross (Jerri) of Wilmington, Ohio; three siblings, Martha Baker of Kingsport, Kentucky, Virgie Roberts and Carolyn Begley of Stinnett, Kentucky; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Audrey Collette; and his son-in-law, Shafter Morgan.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force; he was a stock keeper at Eastman Kodak and of the Church of God faith.

William Henry Gross departed this life Monday, April 10, 2023 being 95 years, 1 month and 14 days of age

The funeral service for William Henry Gross will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the Stinnett Gap Church of God, in Stinnett, Kentucky with Jeffrey Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Glady Branch Cemetery in Stinnett, Kentucky under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

The family of William Henry Gross will receive friends at Stinnett Gap Church of God in Stinnett, Kentucky beginning at 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 p.m.
