      Mr. Willie Pennington departed this life on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the Pikeville Medical Center,  He was 75 years old.  Willie was born October 17, 1947, in Hyden, KY., the son of the late John Henry Pennington & Dorothy Burkhart Pennington.  Willie was a former coal miner, security guard for Mary Breckinridge ARH Hospital, Hyden, Ky and a deputy sheriff.  He was a devoted member of the Hurts Creek Church of Christ, Hyden, Ky.  Willie was an avid fisherman, enjoyed horseback riding and spending time with his family.  Mr. Willie Ray Pennington was preceded in death by his parents, loving and devoted wife, Kathleen Feltner Pennington, brother, Harold Causey, sister, Evelyn Layne and step-daughter, Linda Sue Bowling.  Mr. Willie Ray Pennington leaves the following relatives surviving: beloved sons, Kenneth Ray Pennington and Mary of Hyden, Ky., Trenton Day of Hyden, Kentucky, step-sons, Roger Bowling & Lisa of Hyden, Ky., Danny Bowling & Charlotte of Hyden, Ky., cherished daughters, Patty Sue Loudy and Martin York of Maryville, Tn., Britteny Farmer and Jason of Berea, Ky., Jadyn Rohr of Hyden, Ky., step-daughter, Thelma Wright and Jeff of Hyden, Ky, & two sisters, Linda Hodge of Parksville, Ky., Barbara Ervin of Omaha, Nebraska, treasured grandchildren, Devin Adams & Tori, Kayla Adams & fiancé, Wes Williams, Nicholas Joseph & Casey Adams, Landen Adams, Elaina Williams, step-grandchildren, Roger B.
