Robert Lee Wells

Mr. Robert Lee Wells passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at the Well's Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. He was 80 years old. Robert was born February 1, 1943 in Perry County, Kentucky the son of the late, Wilson Wells and the late, Elva Kilburn Wells. Robert was a life long resident of Leslie County. By occupation he was a retired coal miner having worked for 33 1/2 years. Robert attended the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ at Smilax and New Life Pentecostal Church at Wooton. He enjoyed gardening, rabbit hunting, ginsenging and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Robert Lee Wells was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Wilson Wells and Elva Kilburn Wells, cherished daughter, Lisa Wells & treasured great grandsons, Aiden Hoskins & Owen Baker. He is survived by his loving & devoted wife, Alice Hoskins Wells, Wooton, KY, cherished sons, Robert Allen Wells & Tammy, Bear Branch, KY and James Edward Wells & Kim, Fisty, KY, cherished daughters, Linda Smith & Jim, Lost Creek, KY, Laura Fitch & Randy, Paintsville, KY and Wilma Wells, Wooton, KY, brother, Gid "Buddy" Wells & Carol, Cleveland, Oh, sisters, Oma Wells, Wooton, KY and Reece Wells & Kenny, Hazard, KY, treasured grandchildren, Allison Hoskins & Evan, Holly Losito & Scotty, Sherri Gross & Rusty, Kristen Rice & Patrick, Seth Fitch, Brandon Whitaker & Kaitlyn and Ashton Eldridge & 14 treasured great grandchildren. Also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral: Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, Kentucky

Ministers: Rev. Tommy Fields and Rev. Billy Joe Lewis

Interment: Full Gospel Church Cemetery, Smilax, Kentucky

Pallbearers: Rusty Gross, Robert Wells, Eddie Wells, Seth Fitch, Evan Hoskins, Scotty Losito, Noah Whitaker, Jim Smith, Buddy Wells, Randy Fitch and Patrick Rice

Visitation: Friday, February 24, 2023 at 6:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home Chapel
